Evolution Web utility [New Updates]

Folks at vulnerabilityassessment.co.uk pointed us to a new really good software for footprinting just released by Roelof Temmingh, ex-SensePost founder (sensepost released some beautiful tools as well as bidiblah, suru and wikto)

Here is the updates as it came from Roelof’s mail.

  • Progress reporting - you can now see how far in the process you are
as well as which transform is running at the moment. The original
query is always shown in the left hand top. This gives you something
to look at while you are waiting....;)
  • Where possible a thumbnail of the web site is shown on DNSName and
WebSite entities - this is done via a 3rd party called ’Thumbshots
previews’. They don’t have/do 100% of the sites - but when it’s there
    it works quite well.
  • I am starting to work on detailed results for social networks - in
other words - when you search for John Smith and there are 50 of them
returned from Facebook it will show you the details and you can choose
which of them is the relevant one. Currently I’ve done only two
    networks:
  • ICQ (oh yes - it’s a new transform (thanks Ol))
  • Facebook (nicely with photos as well - but limited to 10 results -
    else it takes too long)
  • There is a new Evolution logo thingy-thingy. I like it more than the
previous one which looked so 90s...:))
