Problem Description: An update for kpatch-patch is now available for RHEL-7.6. Red Hat Product Security has rated this update as having a security impact of Important. A Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) base score, which gives a detailed severity rating, is available for each vulnerability from the CVE link(s) in the References section. 2. Relevant releases/architectures: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server EUS (v. 7.6) - ppc64le, x86_64 3. Description: This is a kernel live patch module which can be loaded by the kpatch command line utility to modify the code of a running kernel. Security Fix(es): * A buffer overflow flaw was found in the way Linux kernel's vhost functionality that translates virtqueue buffers to IOVs, logged the buffer descriptors during migration. A privileged guest user able to pass descriptors with invalid length to the host when migration is underway, could use this flaw to increase their privileges on the host.
