Detail
Revision Note: V1.0 (September 14, 2010): Bulletin published.Summary: This security update resolves a privately reported vulnerability in the Unicode Scripts Processor. The vulnerability could allow remote code execution if a user viewed a specially crafted document or Web page with an application that supports embedded OpenType fonts. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could gain the same user rights as the local user. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights. |

67984 | Microsoft Multiple Products Unicode Scripts Processor (Usp10.dll) OpenType Fo... Microsoft Windows and Office contains a flaw that may allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands or code. The issue is due to two array-indexing errors in the Uniscribe Unicode Scripts Processor (usp10.dll) component within the "GetCmapFontPagesPresent()" and "LoadCmapFontGlyphs()" functions while parsing groups in a CMAP format 12 table in an OpenType font. This can be exploited to corrupt memory via e.g. a specially crafted document or web page viewed in an application supporting embedded OpenType fonts. It can allow execution of arbitrary code. |
