slpd daemon in Mac OS X before 10.3 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on a temporary file, a different vulnerability than CVE-2003-0875.

Mac OS X contains a flaw that may allow a malicious user to gain access to unauthorized privileges. The issue is triggered when Personal File Sharing is enabled, and an attacker creates a symlink to a file in /tmp, causing slpd to overwrite arbitrary linked files. This flaw may lead to a loss of integrity.
