Detail

Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in phpGroupWare 0.9.16.12, and possibly other versions before 0.9.16.014, allow remote attackers to (1) read arbitrary files via the csvfile parameter to addressbook/csv_import.php, or (2) include and execute arbitrary local files via the conv_type parameter in addressbook/inc/class.uiXport.inc.php.

Id Description
56180 phpGroupWare addressbook/inc/class.uiXport.inc.php conv_type Parameter Traver...

phpGroupWare contains a flaw that may allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands or code. The issue is due to the 'addressbook/inc/class.uiXport.inc.php' script not properly sanitizing user input, specifically directory traversal style attacks (e.g., ../../) supplied to the 'conv_type' parameter. This may allow an attacker to include a file from the targeted host that contains arbitrary commands or code that will be executed by the vulnerable script. Such attacks are limited due to the script only calling files already on the target host. In addition, this flaw can potentially be used to disclose the contents of any file on the system accessible by the web server.
56177 phpGroupWare addressbook/csv_import.php csvfile Parameter Arbitrary File Access

phpGroupWare contains a flaw that allows a remote attacker to traverse outside of a restricted path. The issue is due to the 'addressbook/csv_import.php' script not properly sanitizing user input, specifically directory traversal style attacks (e.g., ../../) supplied via the 'csvfile' parameter. This directory traversal attack would allow the attacker to access arbitrary files.
