A security issue affects the following Ubuntu releases:

The problem can be corrected by upgrading your system to the following package versions:

Ubuntu 9.04:
pcscd 1.4.102-1ubuntu2.1

It was discovered that the PC/SC service did not correctly handle malformed messages. A local attacker could exploit this to execute arbitrary code with root privileges.
