In general, a standard system upgrade is sufficient to effect the necessary changes.

Details follow:

A flaw was discovered in the FTP command handler in PHP. Commands were not correctly filtered for control characters. An attacker could issue arbitrary FTP commands using specially crafted arguments. (CVE-2007-2509)

Ilia Alshanetsky discovered a buffer overflow in the SOAP request handler in PHP. Remote attackers could send a specially crafted SOAP request and execute arbitrary code with web server privileges. (CVE-2007-2510)

Ilia Alshanetsky discovered a buffer overflow in the user filter factory in PHP. A local attacker could create a specially crafted script and execute arbitrary code with web server privileges. (CVE-2007-2511)

Gregory Beaver discovered that the PEAR installer did not validate installation paths. If a user were tricked into installing a malicious PEAR package, an attacker could overwrite arbitrary files. (CVE-2007-2519)

Id Description
42108 PEAR package.xml Installer Multiple Attribute Traversal Arbitrary File Overwrite

34676 PHP user_filter_factory_create() Function Overflow

PHP contains a flaw that may allow local attackers to escalate privileges. The issue is due to the user_filter_factory_create() function not properly sanitizing user input. No further details have been provided.
34675 PHP make_http_soap_request() Function Remote Overflow

PHP contains a flaw that may allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. The issue is due to the make_http_soap_request() function not properly sanitizing user-supplied input. No further details have been provided.
34672 PHP ftp_putcmd Function CRLF Injection

PHP contains a flaw that may allow a remote attacker to manipulate FTP commands. The issue is due to the ftp_putcmd function not properly sanitizing user-supplied input. By passing CRLF (newline) characters to FTP commands, it is possible to manipulate input to inject arbitrary FTP commands.
